Odin the Allfather

Head of the Aesir; an enigmatic wanderer; very competitive

The head god of the Aesir pantheon. He’s an enigmatic figure. He’s a relentless seeker after and giver of wisdom, but he has little regard for communal values such as justice, fairness, or respect for law and convention. He’s the divine patron of rulers, and also of outcasts. He’s a war-god, but also a poetry-god.

Along with Freyja, he’s one of the two greatest shamans among the Aesir and often wanders among the spirit worlds. He is also a renowned sorcerer.

He is known as a master of the runes. He “sacrificed himself to himself” by hanging on the world-tree Yggdrasil for nine days and nights, after which he beheld the runes in profound depth.
